Night Wash!!

Okay, time to take it to another level!

I got snow in my area. And with snow, you get salt, lots of salt. Temps are hovering around 40, the snow is melting but everytime I drive the truck, it gets full of salt. Salt was on the truck for 3 days. Couldn't stand it no longer. At 3 am in the morning, I get up, pull out the garden hose, fill up the bucket with warm water and CAR WASHING SOAP(I am a quick learner).

I rinse the truck down with the hose, then wash with warm car-soap and water.. I used two towels in drying off. One towel for the wheels and bumpers and another towel for the paint finish. I haven't advanced to the two-bucket-system yet!! (big grin)

End result, truck looks good, I feel good, I went back to bed at 3:50 am and slept like a baby!!

I showed your post to my wife, thinking she'd be impressed as I was. Instead, she said you're AR (**** Retentive), EC (Excessive Compulsive), sick and mentally deranged. Of course she says the same about me!

I say "Good for you!" I am awed and humbled by your commitment. You serve as an example for us, one we can only hope to emulate! Your truck looks good (yes, I can see it)! If it was still dark, I'd go out and wash mine. Guess I'll wait till tomorrow night.

I'd try that, but it was -11 when I went to bed at midnight...-14 when I got up at 6:30.

Unless I missed some hellacious flash of global warming in that 6-1/2 hours, I think I'll have to settle for working on it in my heated shop this afternoon.

BTW, I washed mine after a Christmas Eve church service that ended around 1215am on Christmas morning...

i tried washing mine the other night at the pressure washer- at night so no logging trucks are around to kick up the sand and crud- well, it didn't go so well, bundled up in snow pants, coat and gloves, water freezes to the truck at -38 below...it got semi-clean, and had a nice 1/4" ice shell for the next couple days lol...
way to go though-good commitment!

Good Show!!

We only passing this way one time, and at my age, I have nothing to save..(grin)

Just when I thought I had it super good, my bikes and all..(they are super big fun), I got introduced to this sweet F150..

Now, I walk around with a lock grin..

Don't forget to get your night wash in. And don't worry if people peek out their windows and shake their heads!! (grin)

You deserve another pic..

You got that winning Powerball ticket???????????????????????????

That's where the winning ticket was sold.. Lincoln, Neb..

Now, if you go look at your ticket, and find out it is you, I want 10 trucks, and everybody on the boards gets a brand new truck!!!!

Now, go find your ticket!!!

I hate you.. On two counts.

That 72 degrees...That's awful!!!

That 2005 STX red, with 4.6L is the same exact truck my X girlfriend has!! I hate her!!! The only good thing about her, is she was the one that introduced me to the F150. So when time for me to buy a truck, I didn't even look at nothing else..

Still, she has one, just like yours, and your truck reminds me of her...

However, we are going to cross paths one day, and she can drive real good too, . I am gonna bust her down with my 5.4.. (grin)

Your truck looks good..

-38, not good. IMO, with those super low temps, you gotta go inside for that.. Semi-clean is better than no-clean..
