I have hairline cracks in the rain grooves/gutters on the top of my 1999 f-150.I thought i read somewhere on this forum that someone else had the same problem and he said the Ford dealer guarantees the paint up to 75,000 miles. When i took the truck in to my local dealer, i showed him the cracks too, however he said my warranty had run out. I have 66,000 miles on my truck.So i don't know what the warranty is on paint defects.Anyone else have the same problem? :santa:

 

Quite common. Unfortunately, I do not know how the paint warranty plays into the mix...

I think some have managed to get it fixed; some haven't.

Odds are you're experiencing what is known as 'solvent pop'.
