Is the problem a leak at the power hose connection?
What I discovered is when you remove the power hose, the small O-ring washer that is supposed to remain in the fitting comes flying out. I didn't notice this was happening. On next use, there is a huge leak to the extent that there isn't enough water pressure to operate the machine.
Once I found the right size washer, I bought a dozen and also carefully remove the power hose now, cupping my hand around the fitting to catch the washer. It can be worked back into place with a small flathead.
The only other shortcoming I've found is that the Honda really drinks the gas but, that may really be related to the small tank.
Honda motors are rated pretty good.
Arent the 'Excel parts a frame, a couple of wheels, a hose, a gun and some nozzles?
What issues do I have to look forward to?
I recently purchased the DeVilbiss 2600 with a Honda engine for $298 at Sam's. I was going to have to rent one to wash down the deck before restaining so it has paid for itself already. I don't think I will use it on vehicles though, I might pull a Mountaineer/Tritoneer/Mattineer. Don't think I could live with the shame if I did that.

I assume the pump will fail long before the engine.
