06 SuperCrew FX4 - Will Fit Into CarWash?

Will this truck fit into a standard rail driven car wash? With its wide stance I wonder if its too big. Or maybe even too tall.

Its gonna snow today and I imagine my brand new truck is going to look pretty salty tomorrow.

Last winter I took my truck to one of those rail driven car washes and my truck fit, but afterward it was zebra striped on both sides with vertical clean stripes and dirty stripes. The water nozzles were to close to the side of my truck to get the optimum water fanning pattern to clean the entire side of my truck as the water nozzles were rotating up and down as the machine moved along the rail the entire length of my truck . Now I just use the hand pressure washers at the car wash to make sure the whole vehicle gets sprayed down.

You do realize that most of those places use recycled water and they only filter out the lage chucks of debris and that the brushed and clothes then grind that into your paint. Also most use strong cleaning chemicals which eats your wax right off. Use the quarter wash to spray off the salt. Don't use the foaming brush though. Give it a good hand wash when you can.

I go to one of the higher quality ones thats brushless. I had no problems with my last vehicle keeping the paint near perfect, only waxing twice a year.

Im going to give it a shot tomorrow and will fold the mirrors up and take the antenna off when I go in.

If it is brushless, I wouldn't worry about taking the antenna off unless it will hit the top of the car wash.

I work at a car wash and yes it will fit.. Just push in the mirrors for added safety.. As for the strong chemicals there really not that strong there diluted a lot.. Yes the water is recycled at most places but only if water levels are low... At our place we tap into a stream behind the building thats on the property and it goes through a filtration process..
