Meguairs Number 7 Show Car Glaze

I can't stop experimenting with waxes on my truck, as my truck is a ginea (sp?) pig for my detailing customers. Anyway, ran up to Autozone to replenish a few things and saw this. My first time trying it. Amazing especially when finishing off with Meguairs number 26. This is good stuff, especially on black. What kind of results have you all had for those that have tried this product? Lastly, I picked up 2 Meguairs thick rectangular microfiber wax applicator pads. I'm hooked on these as it let's me cut in a hell of a lot better around door handles and trim as opposed to the circular pads. Another great product from Meguairs.

#7 is one of the 'old school' products that sticks around because there are so many folks that like the results. I've used it and have had great luck with it as well... at least on dark colors.

One VERY important trick with #7... apply VERY thin.

As for the even-kote applicators, those are very nice. I use them frequently as well.

I thought it was old school as I swore I've seen it some time ago somewhere. I agree, I see this best on darker colors...definitely. Yep, thin layer on one panel and take it off right away. My black seems to like it. Do you have any personal recommendations in that family of polishes? Some people melt over Zaino products but have yet to try them since I'm a Meguairs ****.

No doubt about it! When applied and removed correctly, #7 is a fine product. Especially when used with a fine carnauba like #26.

A lot of people have some trouble with #7. It sounds, and LOOKS like you've got the "touch"!

I never used a glaze. When do you apply it. Do you apply this before a wax.

Applied immediately before your protection product... Be reminded that, if you go with a glaze like #7, you really should use a pure protection product; not one that has cleaners in it (which effectively remove some of what you worked to put on before hand...).

Yep, RP has got it. I use Meg's #26 over the #7. Excellent Carnuba.

I use this method too. Red truck, great results. Also, I never liked the NXT speed detailer. But, after a few coats of NXT and #26, the speed detailer helps me with spot cleanup. It also brings the "POP" back. I know alot of guys dont like it,(Speed Detailer) but I dont always have time to wax after washes.
