I have a black 99 and took the pinstripe off a week or so ago. You can definatley tell where it was. Not noticable if you are a few feet back, but very noticible if you are close.
Im hoping after a few washes and waxes it will blend better.
I got under the pinstripe real carefull with a sharp knife then just pulled it right off, no problem. Your 4x4 stickers should be just the same.

Id sure think your 4x4 sticker would show up a lot more once its off.

Anyone have any tips to make it blend in better.
I have a nice fresh shiny black stripe and 'Lariat" script poping out from the rest of the very finely scratched dull truck

Run it down an old overgrown tractor path that goes from field to field. Those briars, weeds, and tree branches will put fine scratches in the finish. When you get back, buff it all out.

Think I'll have the same problem on my Maroon truck guys?

The sticker is pretty small (in 98)....look in my gallery.

Thanks to y'all my 4x4 stickers are now gone too

A couple weeks ago I was looking at the truck from a short distance away and I thought "those 4x4 stickers look kinda cheezy - I wonder if I can take them off." I poked around and found this thread, which encouraged me to do it, so I yanked them off last week then gave the whole truck a good waxing.

Nice, smooth, shiny black rear quarter panels. Oh yeah.
