Glass cleaner???
I would be interested to know what reason Rockpick likes NXT glass cleaner better than Stoners.I've used Stoners and it does a great job. Can't comment on NXT since i haven't tried it yet.
I have used a product called Clear Vue. It's a small company out of Tennessee or Kentucky or somewhere like that. It was WAY better than Windex but not quite as good as Invisible Glass. It never streaked. I can't find Clear Vue anymore around here in PA. May not even be in business anymore.
OldFord.... I used to use Clearvue as well... it was bought out by Turtle Wax within the last couple of years... not sure if they mucked up the formula or not since then, but the original cleaner was excellent...
I've tried Stoner's, Meguiar's, etc ... best one I like is Sprayway... blue aerosol can readily available in A&P grocery stores here for about $2.19... no streaks and does a great job when used with a cheap microfiber cloth....
Here's a pic of the new Clearvue....

To me, it seems to take off the 'film' a little better than the Stoner's product (not that it was a bad product). Not that I'm a fragrance type of guy but, the chemical odor is a bit less harsh. A slight edge on smearing as well maybe.
One thing that Stoner's has going for it is accessibility though... they're EVERYWHERE whereas the NXT Glass Cleaner isn't as readily available.
Both are superior products in my opinion. You won't go wrong with either... or, probably, nearly every product mentioned in this thread to date... I've heard lots of raves about Sprayway but I never seem to see the stuff when I'm shopping... I'm sure it's there... I just never seek it out I guess.

The first:
STONER'S INVISIBLE GLASS
This product is available just about anywhere that you can buy car care chemicals (wallyworld, etc).
Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner
Again, can be found at many locales. Check Target or Pep Boys as I've seen it at both locations.
I always utilize a top-quality microfiber towel (to avoid linting) on my glass. Further, I keep a can of Stoner's in the house for all the mirrors, windows, and doors. Some say that newspapers are the way to clean the glass but, I've never had a lot of luck with that method... hence, I prefer nice microfiber.

Hello,
Well this is what i use, and it works for me.
Clearvue glass cleaner and #0000 steel wool. Spray on the clearvue glass cleaner and wipe on with *0000 steel wool, the finest so it doesnt scratch. Then after wiping on with the steel wool, dry with a nice microfiber towell.
After all that your windshield should look very nice, but not nice enough!
Put some rain-x on it and it will shine up real nice. So for me im left with picture perfect glass and when it rains it beads like wax
.
Just my 2 cents.

I have always been a SprayWay fan...I have tried Stoners and find it an equal. Both are available at Sam's club now;-) For hard water spots try vinegar and 00 steel wool. Just make sure to get the fibers off after, as they will rust.

OOOOh, I forgot about Clear Vue...pretty good stuff too. It disapears from the market every couple of years, and returns under a new label. It has a real clean scent. Spray Way is used by alot of glass people before installing windshields.
Regards again!

Anyone here used Aquapel by PPG? (also previously sold as STP Vision Blade) ....it's an application product is like Rain-X but supposedly lasts for months .....I've read positive reviews on the Roadfly site but have yet to see any of the detailing experts here mention it as it primarly targeted toward professional detailers....
Anyways.. just curious as I'm thinking of getting some soon....
