Trim Question

Picked up my new SCAB from the dealer 2 weeks ago. They must have hit it up with some type of quick detailer spray that they got on the black trim. I thought it would all wash off, but after 3 washes and 4 rainstorms, it is still there plain as day.

What can I use to clear this up?

Also, the black bed rail caps have water spots that seem that the dirt has gotten down into the pores. What is the best way to resolve that?

Thanks in advance for you help.

It sounds like it may be some sort of spray dressing or, potentially, spray wax of sorts. Can you post pics of your problem? Which trim are we talking about? Plastic? Rubber?

Bed rails... again, not totally sure. You talk about a water spot then come in with dirt. Can you post pics?

I hate to answer your questions with questions but, while some might feel confident giving a quick 'go-to' type of answer, I don't want to jump the gun and recommend anything that could potentially be damaging to the surface without first having seen it.

It's the rubber that is spotted.

The bed rail caps I found it just needs a good scrubbing.

What year is that truck? 2003 or less?

Two thoughts... Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (test in a spot before doing everything... allow it to dry before proceeding).

Secondly, dilute mixture of vinegar and water (1:1). Don't get this all over your paint as it can strip wax.

Ack!

PLEASE test the MC ME on an inconspicious spot before going crazy with it then... I used it on my 01 with GREAT success but, others have used it on newer trucks and have caused MAJOR problems. FYI!!
