I ordered all my goodies from autodetailsolutions.com. They have package deals on pads also.

OK, it's autodetailingsoulutions.com.
I already have the PC 7336sp
They seem to offer 'bonnets' that will fit on the original plate that comes with it.
Most places I have checked recommend a different backing plate
https://www.f150online.com/forums/li...ng/cy-pol.html
it's a kit for 60.00 bucks with lots of pads and a backing plate.
This is more what I am looking for, I think.

If you are looking for the velcro backing plate try this:
http://autodetailingsolutions.com/Meguiar's%20Professional%20Pads%20&%20Bonnets.htm
and scroll down to the bottom for 6.5" W-64DA backing plate.
And for pads I would recommend:
http://autodetailingsolutions.com/Meguiar's%20Foam%20Pad%20Specials.htm
W8006, W9006 3 Pads each.

I hope this helps.

This seems like a pretty good deal, pick and choose 6 pads for $50. The backing pad you want is W64-DA (Meguires number) with the Velcro backing.

Looks like they've taken care of you...

autodetailingsolutions.com or premiumautocare.com

Both great sites owned by good people.

I've had good service with Superiorcarcare.net as well...good prices and duck-else-it'll-hit-you-in-the-head fast shipping.

Thanks all. I ended up ordering;

2 Lake Country Pads 6.5" Black Finishing 15.90
1 Lake Country Pads 6.5" Orange Cutting 8.95
1 Lake Country Pads 6.5" White Polishing 8.95
1 Porter Cable Pad Holder 6" 11.95

Since my wife spent the money (99 plus tax) on the PC not knowing I needed to add the extra pads, holder, I tried to keep the costs down to something lower than what I was seeing on the referenced sites.

I got the agressive Orange pad because I have to try to remove the damage to my 'toad' that some very stupid people did at a hand wash carwash over in Pismo Beach last week.

I figure I will need more pads later, but this was 54 bucks with shipping.

Then I get to see if I can improve the finish on my Silver STX. That part I am looking forward to.

To anyone looking at buying one of these doodads, note that you will need the unit, and an adaptor, 11.99-18.99 depending where you get it, and at least two pads, 8.95-12.95 depending, before you can get started.
I'm not sure what use the original foam wheel would be. Any suggestions?
Anyway Thanks again
Chris

Finally got my pads. Now it’s to dang hot to use them.
Well here is a Porter Cable, and the pads needed. 167.00 bucks on the hoof, after tax shipping etc.
My first job is to try to repair the damage to my toad from the clowns in Pismo Beach. Scratches all over the clearcoat. Then on to putting another coat of NXT and then some Meguiar’s carnauba over the top.

Looks good, Chris. I just ordered the DA Velcro Buffing System from Meg's. Can't wait to try the PC for the first time.
