Question How Long Should I Wait?

I just got my new ARE LS II lid installed and it looks awesome. For those of you thinking about a new cover, I highly recommend this one.

On to my question: The folks at ARE say that the lid shouldn't be waxed for at least 60 days in order for the paint to cure. I use Meguiars NXT car wash and I was just wondering if this is ok to use before the 60 days. Meguiars says it does have emulsifiers and lubricating oils so I just wanted some opinions from you guys out there that are more familiar with the product.

Thanks in advance.

Pete,

The NXT car wash will work fine on the freshly painted surface. Just don't put a wax or sealant on it for a while. You can use a light polish on it to keep it clean, or a glaze to keep it looking nice until the paint has fully cured.

Just like Boss mentioned, no problem with moving forward with your NXT wash... Excellent question though!
