My bottle of liquid NXT wax bottle is begening to run out and am trying to decide if I might switch over to the paste. I always have liked paste wax better because for me it is a lot easier to handle and spread then it's liquid counter part. I was just curious if there was any difference in the actual wax or not?

Whichever works best for you is what you should use.
