Question Removing surface scratches from chrome plastic trim

I have some very light surface scratches on the plastic chrome trim surround on my grill.

How can those be removed, or can they? I have tried to wax them off but no luck.

Since its just plastic, I did not want to get very rough with it.

Any help appreciated.

If you can believe it, I've had decent luck with other vehicles I've owned using GS-27 on plastic chrome trim, but be gentle with the application or you'll dull the finish. You might also try polishing with Nev-r-Dull after you use the GS-27 or using Meg's NXT or M-26 as a topcoat as you have been doing. Generally, I think GS-27 is pure crap and isn't worth buying (especially for use on paint), but for some reason it works well on both plastic trim and certain wheel finishes. ...Good luck.

Be very careful here. Chrome plating on plastic is VERY thin. Although breaking through the plated surface won't lead to rust (like on steel), you'll expose the base plastic - which looks mondo ugly. You might want to consider which looks worse / costs more here.
