Help about side panel....

I recently had a little accident with someone's F-150 XLT 1999 left panel located above the rear wheel.

I ran into his left side panel, wich is made of fiberglass.
It is about 6 feet long and 3 feet high.It is a one part side panel, and I can't find it in Montréal.
Someone told me it was named "step-side".
Here is what the truck look's like, go at this adress...

https://www.f150online.com/owners/owners29.html

So i'm trying to know what is the part's name, and also what is the part number, so I can search that via the internet.

Or can someone tell me where to look for one used?

Thanks for any kind of help.

It sounds like it's a rear quarter panel correct?

If so, Ford commonly calls this type of body style a 'FLAIR SIDE'. Your best bet for a used part would be a salvage yard. Many of them utlilize a parts locator system where they can locate what you need and have it shipped to them. It will definately be cheaper than going with a new OEM part.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the help...Rock-Pick

Thanks again, I will go with that info.
I searched in Montreal salvage yard, but there is none in stock.
So that is why I want to know the part name, cause I speak french, and english is my second language, so it's not easy to get the appropriate name for the part.

Take care,

Sorry that I don't have an actual part number for you. I'm sure it could be found somewhere on the web (or this site) but, after a quick search, I couldn't put a finger on it.

Best of luck with finding the part. Let us know if we can help out!

Thanks Lee and Rock....

Here is the story on the accident.
I'm a bricklayer, and my boss asked me to move his F-350
and while moving it ,I barely hit a F-150 quarter panel, enough to make a nice big dent into it.The truck moved 3 feet away from it's origine.
So my boss say"s
Let's not talk about it.
Then I say, OK let's not tell the guy about it.

The reason why we did not want to tell the person his that this guy who own's the truck(f-150) is a collector for a motorbike gang.

But to my surprise, my boss ended telling the guy about my accident.(yep)

So that collector(break legs and what else,,,) tells me he does'nt want to go with the insurrance cie cause he has a really bad name.
I said ok, check for the price and tell me.
It turn's out a quarter panel painted and install is $1750 (can) not declared.
If we go by Ford it cost even more.

So i'm stuck to pay this damn item, and believe me i'm not too happy about my boss's big mouth.
He asked me to drive his friggin pick up in the first place. He is the one who should pay for it.

Anyhow, I hope you guys find this story entertaining, cause I really don't.

Ciao
