Scratch on FX4 sticker...

So I help a friend move today. She needed help with her bed and some drawers. No big deal, except for when she decided to pull the box spring holder made of steal out of the bed and scratched the hell out of the sticker. I guess she forgot she was about 4'11" and the piece was in the bed of an F-150. It probably did nothing underneath, but the sticker is toast. It's got one of the ugly scratches with the piece of sticker all pulled together like an accordian.

So what might my options be? I know that I could pull it off. What about sticker replacement? I doubt I will be able to lign it up just like stock. Any tips or suggestions?

You could get some new decals off of Ebay. There are a few people who have done that. As far as making the decal line up, maybe you could put some pieces of tape at the corners of the decal (if it's still intact) that way you know exactly where it was?

You think air bubbles might be a concern? I guess I could give it a try. If it doesn't work, I could pull it off.

Sticker replacement is, in my opinion, your only option. There's really no way to buff it out or similar.

Air bubbles could be a problem but, if you apply the sticker from one side, use a window tint tool, and work from that side to the
other as you progress, it should be pretty straight forward and bubbleless.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips guys... I got stickers from ebay for $10.99 shipped. Sounds like I have little to lose. Thanks again!

Did you get the same color sticker that came stock or something different?

My truck is red so the stock sticker barely shows up. I've been thinking about a different one. Let us know how applying it goes.
