Microfiber towels

What's a good price for these? I just picked up a dozen, 16x16 at Sam's for about $7. I thought that was a decent price.

Well, quality MF towels will cost you considerably more. Depending on the deal, you probably need to spend anywhere from $2.50 and up for MF towels that are acceptable for use on painted surfaces.

Having said that, it's also nice to have some inexpensive towels for windows, interior work, engine compartments, and other "dirty" chores. The towels you purchased from Sam's Club should be fine for those purposes. However, I would be wary of using them on your paint.

Just my 2 cents............. and worth every penny!

As usual, I agree with Boss again.

I would suggest biting the bullet and rolling over to premiumautocare.com and checking out the soft blue towels. In addition, I'd pick up a waffle-weave drying towel or two as well.

They're pricey but, worth EVERY penny...

being a novice at the wash/wax procedure i was wary of spending 60bux on some towels. Although i didnt really get to use em fully as its getting cold i managed to use the DF towel and the big blue MF chamois. Much better than anything ive used on any of my previous cars. Was really helpful for getting that #26 off. Spend the money for some good stuff, you wont regret it.

I have used the mf towels I bought at Costco for about $ 7 on the paint of my truck. They seem fine. I wish they were around when I was a painter. TThe only real soft towel at the time was the Kozak cloth...I think that is what it was called. But I found that the flannel baby blankets I swiped from my kids worked as well when polishing fresh paint. Just my two cents worth!
