diamond plate toolbox shine

What is the best way to get my diamond plate toolbox looking new again? Its kind of wierd, every part of the box does look new except for the lid, which looks faded and tarnished compared with the rest of the box. I tried mother's mag and aluminumj polish, which helped a little but not much. Suggestions on any other products/techniques would be appreciated.

Assuming your tool box is made out of aluminum diamond plate, I'd recommend Wenol metal polish and either lots of elbow grease or a buffer. (Actually, I'd just recommend a buffer.) I started using the stuff this past summer and it out shines anything I've used. Good luck.

You had to ask that. I was handed a couple of quarts by a friend a while back. (Yup, that ought to last me a bit.) I'd suggest doing a search for it on the net. If you can't find anything, I can get you the info off the can.

Thanx again for the help. I'll do a search and see what I can come up with.

Meguiar's has a Mirror Glaze All Metal Polish, under their Professional line. Works pretty good for me.
