cleaning wheel question

ok, so this whole brake dust thing sucks. i wash my truck every friday to get it ready for the weekend.... my question is about cleaning my wheels of the brake dust and how does it effect my exposed brake discs/rotors/clamp whatever they're called.

i've notice abit of rust forming on one of em is that bad?....should i be covering the inside before cleaning my wheels?

k thx in advance.

Your not gonna hurt anything by cleaing the wheels often. Rust on the brakes are not a big deal and will appear often when your truck sits for a while. Take a look at the brakes (rotors) when you get home from a drive - nice and shiney clean! This is a perfectly normal event.

I'm planning on getting some Kleen Wheels (http://www.kleenwheels.com/) to prevent from washing those %*@#(@ things every other day so they look nice..

A bit off topic
I got fed up with brake dust on my 99 F150, the only thing I found that worked and did so exceedly well was ceramic Brake pads, the also stopped much better!
