hey guys, just got a rhino installed today. i was wondering if there is a good meguires product out there that will keep the shine but also be non slip? if not that, do you or anyone know if there is a rhino specific product, the dealer tried giving me some cheap looking stuff, so i passed it up! anyway, thanks for the help. willie
Willie,
I'm guessing that the Rhino stuff is made out of a rubber type product....... or similar. Therefore, you could try any good rubber/vinyl protectant. 303 protectant, and Poorboy's Natural Look are two that come to mind that don't seem to be to slippery.
Keep in mind, that if you don't have a tonneau cover over the rhino, any of those protectants will probably streak and be gone after a good rain or two.
Now, if the Rhino material is more of a type of hard polymer, you might be able to coat it with some type of wax, or sealant. However, I don't know of any off hand that wouldn't make the surface pretty slippery!
Sorry I can't be of more help on this one?

Seeing this thread gives me one good reason to not get a Rhino Liner....
Sorry for being negative. Just think this is too much work after having a maintenance-free SuperLiner Spray-In in my old Ranger.

I'm guessing the stuff the dealer tried to give you was Rhino Shine, a product specially formulated for the Rhino Liner. I got some with my Liner and it does a great job. I perfer it to anything else I have tried on the liner. I normally clean my Rhino Liner with Castrol Super Clean and when dry give it a coat of Rhino Shine. My 6 year old color matched Rhino still looks pretty good after the coat of Rhino Shine.
Just a gut feeling here but, I'd be a little bit leary of degreasers. My hunch is that they can leach the necessary oils and such out of the liner itself and further accelerate the bleaching/discoloration over a longer period of time.
Like I said, I don't know this for sure and I don't have a spray in liner but, I'd still be leary...
