Maguires NXT wax

Here in Iowa it got up into the 50's yesterday, (too cool to wax), BUT.......I got way impatient and tried it on my tailgate just to see what it is going to be like. I have a white FX,,,,,,, on white, as usual with any white vehicle, you have to look at it from about 16 differant angles to make sure you don't miss.
To get to the point, I think you guys that use this are going to be EXTREMELY impressed. I AM!!!! This stuff goes on and comes off easier than anything I've ever used and I've used about everything out there. It is unbelievable how easy it comes off.
The gloss is a deep deep shine. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can detail the whole thing. I only wonder how it is going to hold up.

BRADINIOWA,

I too have used the NXT but my results werent nearly as good as yours on my DSG Metallic. It depened the paint so much that it almost lost the metallic look and it became a dust magnet. My neighbor used it on his solid color truck (red) and it looked awesome but it still had the dust issue. I think this is awesome wax for solid colors if your not subjected to dusty conditions. IMO

I have DSG also. Explain what you mean about depth and losing the metallic look.

basically it gave it very deep wet look. So wet that you actually couldnt see the metallic in it. If your not concerned with that then by all means use it. I like the clear look so the metallic stands out.

Just to offer a little bit of rebuttal...

I, too, have metallic paint and honestly didn't notice this. It did have a slight 'synthetic look' (often referred to as suran wrap) but, a coat of carnauba later, it looked sleek, deep, and very nice. To date, it's the best stuff I've worked with (in combination).

Overruled!

Seriously, there seems to be something to this. I'm not sure if it's the prep, the color of the vehicle, or what.............. but I've seen, and heard the same thing!

Not to worry though................. I'll get to the bottom of it! (If the weather ever get's better )

I have a white truck also. I used the NXT and after a day, applied a coat of #26 Carnuba. Looks absolutely great. The NXT did go on and off very easily but so does the 26 really. I have the Arizona Beige on the bottom with the metallic in it and never noticed it dissapearing, if anything on mine, it really looked sharp. I'll keep using it for now. GS

What type of towel are you guys using to remove the wax? I was thinking about microfiber but I'm not sure if its safe on the paint.

Personally, I'm using a DF Microfiber towel. Available from premiumautocare.com . This towel is, by far and away, the plushest towel I've come across....

MF is the ONLY way to go for removal in my opinion... high quality MF...
