Waxing

Was reading my new (2004) F150 Owner's Guide, trying to get some info on how to protect the finish. In the section entitled "WAXING" it recommends - "applying a polymer paint sealant". I see a number of references in these posts to "Zaino", McGuires, etc. Are these "polymer paint sealants"? Any product recommendations would be appreciated.

Zaino, Klasse, Platinum UPP, and Blackfire are, for the most part....... pure polymer/acrylic sealants. Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Protection is a type of polymer sealant. Some of Meguiar's others products like their Gold Class and #26 carnauba have polymers in them, but aren't pure polymers.

All are good products though, and you don't absouletely "need" to use a pure polymer sealant. Especially if you take care of the paint. However, polymer sealants tend to be a bit more durable.

Good luck with your '04!

You really are pathetic... You'd sell your soul to the devil if he mentioned a bottle of Z-6. Geesh.

Lander,

Here's the deal... there are a BUNCH of quality products out there on the market. Play around with a couple of them and use one that works for you. I've tried several however; I keep coming back to one specific product.

We both know that a superior product exists but, being the cool, calm, and collected guy that I am.... I'm not going to pedal a product that blows everything else that I've tried out of the water. You may notice that I haven't even mentioned the brand name now in two posts within this thread. An impressive task to say the least. I'll probably go 26 posts and never mention it.

Oh, please, oh please Mr. Pick reveal the name! Some of us can't stand the suspense! (plus with the time change it's getting close to my bedtime.)

Can you at least give us a hint, what letter does it start with?
