Autolock
Autolock
Have read my new (2004) F150 Owner's Guide and still can't figure out how to get the AUTOLOCK feature to work the way I want. All doors lock properly when the vehicle is shifted into gear and starts moving. Problem comes when I stop. Driver's door unlocks, but the other 3 doors( Lariat Supercrew) do not unlock. The poor passangers are held captive until I press the power door unlock control. I realize the entire autolock system can be deactivated, but I like the locking feature - just hope somebody can tell me how to get the AUTOLOCK system to unlock ALL the doors when the truck stops.
Perceptron, I believe you are correct, all the doors should work that way, unless the child locks are on, then they would prevent you from opening the door from the inside if it was locked. The child locks are on the side of the door visible when it it open only. That's the way my 02 works, I wouldn't think they'd change that in the 04.
Autolock
Thanks for your input. I should have mentioned that I did place the rear door child locks in the off position. Still the front passanger and two rear doors will not open when the handle is pulled. These three door lock ***** stay in the depressed position.
