Been around for a while. I have a couple friends who use it and love it.

it works great on darker colors...if your truck is white or silver dont even bother tho, as its very labor intensive (tends to leave a "haze" and needs to be wiped off 2 or 3 times)

Not very well. I have used Zymol, and I think they rely on the name and price to sell, but there are much better products out there. Meguiar's are much better then Zymol and if you want to get into the higher line products check out Zaino, Cherry Wet Wax, or Adam's products. All are much, much better then the Zymol, which not only doesn't look great, but doesn't last very long.

I'll stick with Maguiar's. Don't want to trust a so/so brand.
Thanks for your speedy responses!!!

It is actually a well know brand and it depends on which Zymol you got.

Do you know which kind you got?

Cleaner Wax and Detail (Wax inhancer and Finish). The later is in a spray bottle and the prior is in a baby blue bottle.

I used it back in the high school days (about 10 years ago) on my Geo Prizm. Yup, that's right, I drove a Prizm. (btw, damn good car).

Anyway... I thought it was great stuff going on and coming off but, when it came down to UV protection and overall protection, I think it lacked miserably.

I was religious with waxxing my car and it rarely went 3 months without a new coat and, upon going to college, the finish went to hell quick despite not neglecting it in the least. I continued to use Zymol until I talked to a detail shop about it where they said it was a great 'glaze' but offered little protection. Which confirmed what I had seen...

They may have changed it since then and I am familar with the products that you purchased as I've seen them on the shelf at the local stores.

I still have a little bit of apprehensivness about the product but, like I said, maybe they've changed it.

Yup RockPick--

It says the "original" brand!!! Prob. the same *****. Just the cleaner wax and the finisher. I think I'll give it back and pick up some Maguiar's tomorrow.

I broke down! My paint has been suffering from neglect long enough. It was getting so bad that the paint actually lost its glossy shine. Well, the Zymol did a better job than I thought. The deep shine is back. As far as the protection goes, anything was better than the state my paint was in. Perhaps next time I will buy Meguiar's, but I think I will use up the bottle I have first.

Tried the paste for dark colored paint on a midnight blue metalic paint, and it did not work any better then monthers for shine quality.

As for durable, I have no idea, with in 90 days I stripped it and went back to Mother's.

Lot of money for what it did. This was the paste formualted for the color of the paint.

Even tried the one for the Wife's car ( japon I think is what it is called for the Lexus ) and it did nothing exactly spectatular. But it is something. So I guess you can say it is better then nothing ??
