Question Open K&N

Will the Open K&N filter system help much i have been looking at the ones with the chrome tube and K&N filter that is not enclosed in a canister.

You might want to post under Engines or Aftermarket. You'll likely get more responses.

Most will tell you "yes". Better throttle response for one, plus that cool sound; like the old days flipping the lid on a 4bbl.

i like the Air force one better than the K&N

its got that chrome tube you mentioned, and the open element filter, and the end isn't capped off like the K&N is.

only a few bucks more at truckperformance.com too

BIG noticible difference

Thanks Harley i went to the Web site and ordered a Airforce One.
Now i have a new K&N filter that won't fit my new intake.

what type of K&N is it you have? is it one that will fit a 4.6L V8 stock airbox? If so my buddy might be interested in buying it from you for his truck. Let me know a price and i'll pass it onto him to see if he wants it

Please always try to support the site via it's Supporting Vendors. FYI, not that you would have any way to know it, but Mike Troyer sells the AF1. You can find him in the Computer Chips forum.
