hOW LONG AFTER BODY WORK BEFORE WAX?

I had a minor crack fixed and was wondering how long before I can wax it? The crack was only1/2 and inch, but I am picky like that when it comes to my truck. The crack was on the top of the bed rail, right in front of the bed cap.

Did a paintshop do it or your did it?

If you want to be safe, then go 30 days.

You could put some polish on there, like Meguiar's #7, until you feel comfortable that you can wax it.

I got mine outta the body shop towards the end of January and they told me 2-3 months, more towards 3 months because of the cold weather.

My body shop recommended 6 weeks and that was in the summer. The paint really does need a little time to cure since most body shops don't bake it. I would wait at least 3-4 weeks before putting wax on it, even though that is hard to do.
