Drivers side window
When i push the button to lower the driver side window it goes about half way down then it seems to get in a bind if i work it up and down it will go down what could the problem be.
Hard to say Angus. I've only explored the inner workings of the window on one occasion and, I must say, there's not a whole lot to it.
If you feel ambitious enough to try it, I would suggest pulling the panels off of your door and operating the window to see if you can isolate a problem. My gut feeling is that a couple of the 'rubber rollers' that actually move the glass up and down, is either 'glazed over' such that it can't get a bite on the glass or, you have a motor that is on it's way down hill.
Best of luck and let us know how it turns out.

Angus,
My window does the same thing. I had it looked at once when I was gettin some dents taken out and the guy who was working on it couldn't see why it was doing that. A few months ago it was doing it bad but then a tree fell the truck back in December. It seems as if ever since i got it back it's been working much better but they didn't do anything to the inside of that door. It used to seem like when the weather was cold it would stick but it doesn't do it as bad anymore. Its a big mystery to me and I'm lookin for an answer too.

Same problem here on my '01. I had to have the driver's side regulator and glass run replaced at about 20000 miles. The passenger side wasn't far behind. I had the glass run and regulator replaced around 30000 miles. Both were covered under warranty and work great now. Problem was particularly bad in cold weather.
