Canaiden Tire Money...

I bought spark plus, air filer, plug wires and a tail light bulb and wiper blades for my girl friends mini van..

Wiper blades did not fit so we took them back to Canadian Tire. I never use canadian tire money and my girl friend was anoyed that the 70 cents in Canadian tire money were deducted from the wiper blades because we did not return the 70 cents in Canadian tire money with the whiper blades...

She beleaves Canadian tire ripped us off for 70cents...Her argumemt is Canadain Tire money is only leagel tender at canadian tire, basicly it is a coupon.

The sum of 70cents is not the issue but how canadian tire across canada dose this this two every one who returns items and has thier orginal return purchass adjusted to reflect the amount of canadain tire money given..

Management told her this policey is in place to prevent people from purchassing items and than returning items and keeping the Canadian Tire money....In effect he told her we were ripping of Canadain tire for 70cents...

ah no, what he was telling you was that as some people have done that in the past and continue trying to do so, they have no choice but to apply the policy to everyone. It seems that you also have seventy cents extra to spend at C.T. next time you're there...

no, its not a coupon. Canadian Tire money is an instore rebate for future purchases.

when you buy something, they give you the store credit so its only logical that if you return items the store credit disappears.

which brings us to....

does anyone gas up at Cdn Tire? I do and we use the multiplier coupons in the weekly flyer.

Every week filling up the F150 gets us $4-6 in Cdn Tire money.

Right now we have $200 from gassing up the truck over the past year

I felt like that too the first time they did it to me. Once I cooled off and thought about it, I realized I wasn't loosing anything. They deducted $2.00 cash from my return, but I still had the $2.00 Cdn. Tire money to spend next time. Which saved me the $2.00 they deducted in the first place.
