rusting brake rotors

2018 F150 Crew Cab V6 Ecoboost currently 22K mileage.

6 months ago (October 21) I was told I have to replace my rotors due to excessive rust. This replacement was not covered under warranty. Now June 22, my rotors are once again rusting.

Can anyone recommend an after market product. I don't want to replace my rotors every year.

Were they rusted to the point pitting occurred?
Rotors will rust if the vehicle sits for a while but the pads clean them up quickly when the vehicle is driven.

Scroll down to Fully Coated (Maximum Protection For Rust Prone Areas)

Yes, that has been my experience with past vehicles. I just completed a 1200 mile road trip and the rotors are dull and rusted. I would have expected clean and shiny.

I would also recommend Wagner Thermo Quiet Brake pads and a set of Fully Coated (Maximum Protection For Rust Prone Areas) rotors like glc suggested.

Because I live in the salt belt during the winter, I only go with coated rotors. It's a must have in my area.

For instance, I just installed 4 new
POWER STOP Evolution Geomet Coated rotors on my '07 Jeep Compass and man do they look sharp with that Geomet coating!
