Does a 2001 ford f150 a.r.e. bed cover work on a 2012 ford f150

No, it will not work. The beds are too different. You can't cross generations.

Be nice if all the 6 1/2 ft caps would interchange. I paid $300 for the ARE cap on my truck, used of course. Recently, I looked up a new cap for a new truck and I think it was $3299. What a shock!
