I am a disabled veteran who currently owns a 2010 F-150 Lariat Crewcab. Because of my disability effects my mobility, I need crutches for walking and use a mobility scooter. In the bed of my truck is permanently mounted mobility device lifting crane. Because of this crane, I am unable to use the factory tonneau cover. I need help and or advice with any suggestions on how, either the factory cover could be modified or if another cover could be modified so that I will be able to cover the bed with a tonneau cover. Any help, suggestions and or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Well I don't have a good suggestion but I wanted to say thank you for your service and sacrifice.
About the only option I can think of is maybe an upholstery shop can modify your roll up to include a bubble or "pocket" to include the lift which extends above the bed sides. It would cover it from sun & rain.
Once years ago out west I saw a '04 or '05 style-side with a shell that was only half high as the cab? Only one I ever saw, don't know if custom or what.
Back in the early '70s, was a guy in my town that made hard T-covers from plywood, he'd make them to either fit on top of bed sides ... or so they were just flush with the bed side tops, then he also made hardware to hinge it, etc. When the fit was right, he'd cover it with an exterior vinyl like of color or pattern to suit. Some padding, they looked great. Something like that would be fairly easy to design, but not sure how easy such would be for you to deal with. Plywood can get heavy. He included legs for the center, you could stand on them.
My "Undercover" is a black plastic hard cover with molded ribs, it's easy enough to raise in back, and I can stand on it too ... but then there's the question of covering the lift. Would have to cut out that corner, maybe have a separate box to cover the lift?
Anything you do is gonna slow access. If the lift would pivot downward into the bed, be easier to cover.
