Cap fit cross-reference

Is there a bed cap fit by year cross reference anywhere? Or will a 2004 F-150 6.5' cap fit a 2002 6.5' bed?

1997-2003 trucks were their own generation

2004-2008 and 2009-2014 were very similar, just different tailgate

2015-current are their own generation

The 1997-2003 Generation trucks were a special breed. Not only were there different bed lengths and configurations, but the back of the cab (back window area) was shaped differently depending on which cab you had. The slopes were different, so not all toppers are interchangeable throughout this generation.....

Good luck!

Another thing you need to know is that the regular cab 6.5' bed camper shell is different from the supercab 6.5' camper shell cap. I used a regular cab shell on my 2002 scab but it rubbed the 3rd brake light. Raoul enlightened me on the difference and I found a scab bed camper shell on craigslist and sold mine.
