I have a cap on my 2018 F150 and if driving down the road with a lot of rain and or a lot of dust everything in the back gets a friggin mess with dust and road spray from the lousy tailgate fit on the 2018 F150,
Before someone asks, yes my cap is sealed up tight and you can see where the road spray comes up from the large gaps at the tailgate lower corners.

Can anyone tell me if there is an effective dust seal for the 2018 F150 tailgate
The majority of the dust seal kits might work ok on a squared up and more flush fitting tailgate.
These systems will not work effectively and do not take into account the design of the 2018 tailgate shape at he bottom where there is an extremely large gap at the bottom corners of the tailgate.

Try going to your local home improvement store and get some of the stick on foam for sills and such.

Clean the area good with isopropyl alcohol and it will stick well.

 

Ya that was what I had to do
I have a tail gate cover, so I just built it up under the tail gate cover till the cover was close to the bed body

Still can't figure why Ford did this, all the other tailgates fit nicely and I was always able to seal them up
This design is just senseless

I ordered bead seal from McMaster-Carr in two different sizes. One size for the verticals and the other for the horizontal and now all my dust, 1/4 mile of limestone to my concrete, comes in at the corners of the shell door. I have eliminated 90+% of the dust.
