Retrax then vs. now

I am picking up a shiny new 2014 SuperCrew next week so I need to start researching stuff for the new ride.

Back in 2004 or so I bought a Retrax for my F150. Once installed, it leaked like crazy in the rain. Obviously, that sort of defeated the purpose of the thing so I ended up replacing it with an ARE LSII which I had until I stupidly got rid of that truck.

Have the Retrax products improved since the early ones? I see they are visually different now (mine had a raised box and the new ones appear flat). I liked the feel and function of the Retrax as a bed cover, but I need to be able to secure stuff back there and know it will stay dry.

Thanks...

I don't know how much the retrax are, but I have an undercover flex, I paid less than 800 for it. It's one of those rigid tri-fold type covers. I've had it for a year and so far everything stays dry.
