Bed rail and tailgate caps

Anyone have recommendations for where to find good replacements? Mine is an 04 Screw with the originals still in place and they're dingy to say the least.

I can help with brand new OEM parts.

For the three mouldings it would be $147.04 and I can ship them pretty much anywhere in the lower 48 for $20.00 via Fedex ground.

I saved the list on quote Q394932 if you're interested, I can be reached at 1-800-598-1484.

You will have a VERY hard time finding them. There must be some sort of patent on them because aftermarket manufacturers make them for everyone except Ford. You might consider some aluminum caps that fit on top of the OEM plastic caps. That might be your best bet.

I'd jump on that.

Thanks for the input guys!!! Steve, I think I'll be taking you up on that quote. I'll get in touch via the 800 number you provided. Next question, is there a way to prolong the life of these caps? Like treating them with some type of plastic cleaner/preserver? Armorall? Suggestions welcomed because when I get them, I want them to look good as long as possible.

Keeping them dressed in a UV blocking trim dressing will help prolong them. I use Meguiars Hyperdressing on my old truck. My '07 has a leer cover so I never see the caps.

Strangely I can ship these older moldings cheaply though the method I mentioned above but I can't use it for the newer ones. It's all based on part numbers and apparently someone has blocked us shipping the new numbers that way.

Go figure, it's just another example of knowing how to work the various systems.

I think it was 1 or 2 years ago while getting my parts list together, - I couldn't find these new. Looked everywhere I could think of at the time. I would have to special order them from the dealership, - it was expensive and would most likely end up back ordered to boot. I didn't like any of the after market, - not one bit lol.

Then someone pointed me in your direction, - you had them or could get them at the time, - quick and cheap, - VERY cheap IMO.

Been a customer and referring you ever since!

Ok, I'm convinced this is the route to go. Should take another week to get the funds together and I'll be in touch with you Steve.
