Snugtop cap

I have a Snugtop cap ( we call them a canopy in Oz ) fitted on my 2010 Platinum. It looks very nice and appears to be well constructed, but it sucks dust into the back like you wouldn't believe. I tried on several occasions to contact Snugtop to see if they had a remedy or produced a flap to fit on the roof to create pressure in the cap. They ignored my messages. Finally I got a dealer to reply and he said it was the fault of Ford Motor Co. because the seals at the tailgate were inadequate. I asked him if he knew of any seals that would possibly help, but he didn't give me the courtesy of a reply. I don't know if you guys in the States have the same problems with getting suppliers to provide some after sales service but I certainly wouldn't recommend Snugtop on the basis of their lack of after sales service. In the meantime has anyone got any ideas on keeping the dust out?

I have an '07 with a Leer 700 cover and it does the same. I want to say all covers are gapped like that for bed bounce and such. It sucks about dust though. I have thought of spraying foam in the corners of the lid to lessen it.

I live down a dusty gravel road and am sure that whatever dust i get inside the bed comes past the tailgate. I have the drop in liner, basically sealing the drain holes.
I also doubled up on the foam seal between the cab and the bed.

You could eliminate a lot of that by plugging the bed's drain holes and getting the tail gate seal kit.

Thanks for that. I'll check to see if the company you suggested will postthe seal kit to Australia, a lot of them wont. I know a roof top vent will solve a lot of the problem, but it would be nice to talk to someone who has fitted this item. Snugtop must be aware that dust is a problem and should have something to counteract this. They are a pretty ignorant/ arrogant mob as I see it and I'm seriously annoyed with them. A simple email answer was all I was looking for. Thanks again for your input.
