Leer Paint Quality.

I purchased a leer 550 tonneau cover for my 2011 Harley truck, the paint quality was so bad the body shop was able to pull the layer of basecoat and clear of in one solid sheet like a bedspread. Leer agreed to a repaint through a local paintshop( Big of them considering I only had it for two days) ,not my choice. They have scratched the gelcoat layer up so bad now I do not no if it can be fixed. Anyone else have paint issues with leer- anyone have a phone number, they don;t answer there Emails.

i'm surprised as to how they have no phone numbers to call, they make you go straight to your dealer :O

No leer phone number, that's a big red flag............they only want to talk with dealers.
Steer clear of leer.

It is getting kind of ridiculous, obviously Leer has aloted the dealer so much money for the repaint, but that should not be my problem, if they are comming up short. The first time it was repainted they did not even bother taking of the leer decal, or the rear pop lock you could see were the new paint stops and starts. Then when I went to pick it up today they have so aggresively sanded the gelcoat you can see the marks five feet away.I hate to make it a legal situation but I will if I have too.I left it at the bodyshop , I am not sure what they are going to do.

I got Leer's number from the dealer when i had a problem, Leer wasnt interested in the issue when i called, all they wanted to know was who did i get the number off.
I got a full refund because the dealer was on my side and he could see how crap the product was.

do they have a facebook? you can post this on their wall so maybe they can remedy your problem also, it's clear they don't want to deal with their own consumers
