Bench,

My brother has one of those on his '04, and I've thought about getting one myself, but I don't want have to remove it when loading/unloading four wheelers or hauling something, which is pretty often.

Actually the one that I installed comes out really easily for things like that. You just pull two pins. It's on and off all of the time.

I'll get you some pictures if you want to see how it works.

Sure thing, benchwarmer. You can either post em here, or send them to crashfanz6781@aol.com.

Thanks.

For what it's worth, I have used truck tents in the past, and found them to be a hassle. A regular dome tent is easier to put up and down, a lot roomier for the $$, and much easier to get in and out of when you need to visit the trees in the middle of the night...

I honestly prefer a closed front camper shell for nasty weather camping, and a tent for everything else...

Finally gonna break down and get one with my tax money, trying to decide between the Ozark Trail at Wal-Mart for $60 or the Sportsman's Guide one for $79.00

Any advice?

I have a Napier on my ford ranger and it works great about 10 minutes to put up no looking for a decent site, raking it and driving stakes in the ground you are off the ground no bugs , critters or seeping water my advice is go for it
