Bedrug Mat

I am considering getting a bedrug mat on top of my existing plastic bedliner. It looks like it makes for a very nice floor to move around on if necessary, keeps load from shifting, etc. Plus, it looks to be extremely durable. Does anyone have any experience with this combination?

I know two guys that are higher-ups at Extang corporation, which is the distributor for Bedrug, and, from what they've told me about the product, it's meant to go directly over the bed, no liner under it.

It's molded to fit the ridges in the bed itself.

I thought about it for my truck, but then decided not to. I might get a BedTred instead if I do anything.

The BedRug is designed to fit an empty bed. I would think it would be too big, not fit well with the liner installed. Besides, just sell the liner and install the BedRug as it is meant to be. They are great.

Thanks for the replies, but I am referring to a product that they make that sits on top of a plastic bed liner. I am not going to try to install a full bed rug on top of the plastic bec liner, just the floor mat. Anyone done this?

They are formed to fit a bed with no liner, regardless of which section of the Bedrug you want to put in.

Trust me on this, they don't make one that fits over a a drop-in liner.

Not so fast, my friend....

http://www.bedrug.com/products/bedrugmat.php

The BedRug fits a bare bed.

The BedRug Mat comes in two different models....one designed for bare beds / beds with spray-on liners....and another designed for beds with plastic drop-in bedliners.

I will be getting the one designed for spray-ins when I decide on which bedcover I'm going to go with.

My BedRug Mat & tailgate mat for my 6.5 bed just got delivered yesterday. I have spray in liner and I got the one specifically for that. I'll report back tomorrow when I have time to open it up (with some pics too).

You two may be the first on this board to do this.

Thanks - I'm interested to know how they look/function once installed.

Here are the pic's from unboxing and dry fitting the rugs. I did not velcro them down yet since I'm still waiting for my tonneau cover to be installed first.

Spray liner only:

I've got to question how that's going to hold up in the long run. I live in Michigan, between all the rain and snow that we get I can imagine anything resembling carpet lasting for long. I've got a DualLiner bed liner in my pick-up. Had it for a while and couldn't be happier. Take a look at their bed liner yourself at http://www.dualliner.com - I like that my cargo finally stays put!!!

Bed rug - After five years of exposure to dirt bikes, jet skis, camping stuff, boating stuff, fire wood, dogs, tile, toolboxes, trash, rain, desert sun/heat, some snow, beach sand, dirt, gas spills, oil drops, more dogs and beer spills mine is holding up well.

I've been using the Ford rubber bed mat on top of my plastic bedliner since 2004 and it works good (keeps stuff from sliding around like you mention). Of course it doesn't fit exactly but I never felt like trimming it to fit better.
