Bedrug Mat
I too live in Michigan. I have had a Bedrug for three years. Although I have a cap on the bed, I use the truck mainly for duck hunting, fishing and the like. The Bedrug has held up to mud, blood, dirty waders, old anchors, snags from hooks and lures, hunting gear with snow on it, etc. I even spilled some water from iced down shrimp during my twice yearly trip to fish the Gulf. All you have to do is hose the thing down with a garden hose or at the coin carwash. The Bedrug is not a true carpet, it just feels like one. It is made of closed cell foam with non absorbable matting on one side. Extremely durable, and mine looks almost as good as the day I installed it. Good product!

I have a Bed Rug in my outfit. It's been there 7 and a half years. Although I usually have a tonneau cover on, it's been through a lot! I've hauled firewood in it. Stuffed just killed deer on it (read lots of blood) every year, spilled gasoline and oil on it, and it simply washes off with perhaps a little soap and a hose. My knees really thank me any time I need to get something from the front of the bed when the tonneau is on!
It's nice that it covers the space between the tailgate and the bed, keeping the dust and dirt out. It pads and protects the bed from dents when something heavy is "dropped" into the bed.
It I had to haul something sharp, like plows or heavy scrap iron or something that could cut the mat, I'd probably go with a spray in like Line-X. But I don't. Were I to buy another truck, I'd definitely go with a Bed Rug!
