Undercover SE opening height?

I'm curious how high the back of the Undercover SE will be when opened on my truck. I have a 2010 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 w/ a 5.5' bed. I haven't done any modifications to the truck.

Basically wondering if I can open it in my garage w/o hitting the garage door. Obviously garage heights vary but from some of the picts it looks like the back of the Undercover SE goes a bit above the cab.

Does anyone have any measurements on the open height of the Undercover SE?

Thanks!

[/IMG]I have an 07 FX4 that is leveled with bilstein 5100's and 285-75-17 Toyo MT's so I think it's a little higher that your stock rig but I'm not sure. I have a standard 7' opening on my garage door and when I open my Undercover it stops just short of hitting the garage door. It's close but doesn't hit it. I hope that helps.

Not helping you here, but I thought I would mention that the new SE Smooth is being released which can be painted to match your truck.

donbeeler49 - Thanks for the help! I have about 3-5" of clearance pulling into the garage and then more as the garage door opens.

Also, The kind folks at Undercover just wrote and said the cover will extend about 25" - 30" above the bed rails at the max height. I measured and should have the clearance. Big debate and decision to but the Undercover SE or BakFlip G2 (or F1)....

I can open my undercover when the truck is in the garage, but would never back out with it open. I put a level on my opened Undercover and it measure to be 7' 1.5". I have a 7' garage door.

Doing the same thing, the top of the cab measured in at 6' 2".

I'm with you Greencrew. I really like the Undercover. Don't know much about the Backflip. The Undercover goes on and off easily unlike many others.

I took my undercover off two weeks ago to haul a 7' cabinet for the kitchen. That made it easier to load the cabinet into the truck.

I got my Undercover last Fall, love this thing. Even heavy snow loads were easily pushed off the side. Easy on / off too.

My Undercover cover was the very best decision I made. I looked at others but the fact that too many of the "flush" ones drop down into the bed area restrict storage height. To date, mine does not leak and was great during the past winter storms. Snow was easily pushed of with a broom. It also looks good and is extremely strong. No flipping, no drip channels, just a secure cover. Comes off in seconds and goes back on the same way.

Sounds great! I'll be ordering mine this week. I'll post some picts when it comes in so folks can see the black on black with the SE design.
