Want the 50/50 sliders, the nice glass door in the back and carpet inside. Narrowed it down to to caps jason zone or the leer xr can get both for the same price wondering who makes the better cap???

I'm getting ready to buy new lariat with 6.5 bed. I also use my trucks for dogs. I had leer on my current truck. I utilized the cap pretty much every day and it held up well. The locks rusted in the inside of the cap pretty good. Other than that it was a decent product.

On my new truck, I'm going with the ARE cap. A neat feature that I like is the win-doors with the sliders. Meaning you put the dog crates up against the cab and you open the side windows for easy access. No more crawling up in the bed to get the dog.

Just a thougtht....

If you are around the Indiana, ohio, or kentucky area check out swiss caps. Its a small company located near Lawrenceburg Indiana and they are a nice cap. They are very reasonable on price and offer a lifetime warranty on the clear coat and paint.

I have had several truck with several brands of caps. My Leer cap leaked in the side windows badly and never could get it to stop. I bought a top of the line Century cap for my 97 F-150. It's front glass leaked despite the best efforts of the dealer! On my '06 F-150, I went with the ARE Z-series. Great cap, no problems since I put it on, about a year ago. Hope you get your money back and get a better cap!

Kind of late notice, but I have a Jason on my 04 and it is an absolute POS. I will never buy another Jason product.

So far my Jason fiberglass lid looks great and fits great. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with them as I am more than satosfied with my Rage lid.
