Before winter really hits, I'm looking for a reliable bed cover. I like the look of the tri-folding ones but some look kinda flimsy and I wanna make sure they can hold up some snow and that it doesnt cave in. I am looking to spend $600TOPS so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check craigslist for an inexpensive topper. Then you have additional storage for larger items to boot.

 

Even my 179 buck extang supported the New England snow so if you are in Jersey you will be fine.

 

None of the covers hard or soft are going to cave in from snow. I have a soft tonneau, had it last winter when I was living in Vermont and we get tons more snow New Jersey. Held up fine.

 

I had a leer tonneau on my 06 ram and it worked great in winter.

 

What everyone is saying x2. My truck came with some cheapo tonneau. It has 3 support rails and has held up to lakefront snow storms. I actually have a harder time stretching it to snap down then anything else in the winter.
