Undercover SE Tonneau Cover

I'm considering getting an Undercover SE tonneau cover for my 2010 FX4 Supercrew with 5.5 foot long bed.

The local shops I've called are all over $900 plus installation (which I'm sure I can easily do myself). The best delivered price I've seen online is about $788 at places like www.autoanything.com.

Does $788 delivered sound about right for this cover? The original Undercover is selling for about $100 less.

Thanks.

After much backing and forthing, I decided to go with the BakFlip G2 instead of the Undercover SE. I ordered it today. I hope it works out as well as everyone has told me it will.

That price sounds about right to me. I ordered the original undercover, for my 2010 XLT Supercab 6.5ft bed, locally for $680. I should have it tomorrow. I didnt like the looks of the se. Its supposed to be lower profile but I didnt like those lines that are cut into it. But to each his own right? Good luck with the bakflip too, Ive heard good things about it on here.

Now until 1-3-10, you'll get a FREE Swing Case from Undercover with the purchase of an Undercover. Sweet!

I had a change of heart last night and decided to go with an Undercover SE instead of the BakFlip G2. I just think it's going to work better for how we'll use the truck. I cancelled the BakFlip order this morning and again Morrie showed his class.

I called quite a few local places today and was able to find one that will sell me the Undercover SE for $750 installed. It should be done either Friday or Monday, depending on when the cover arrives at the shop and I can get the truck in to them. I know they're simple to install but I figure for the $25 they're charging for the install it's worth it to me to have it done 100 percent right.

And, like TruckGasm said, I can get a free Swing Case by sending in the rebate form. Of course I'll need to decide if I want the left side or right side version. Geesh, this never ends! There seem to be more aftermarket parts for this truck than there are for my Mustang.

The running boards are supposed to arrive around Friday so I hope to be able to install them this weekend.

I purchased my Undercover for my 07 SCREW with a 6.5 foot bed here:
http://4wheelonline.com/FordUndercov...vers.2103.8873
It came with a free rubber bed Mat for $681. Could not match the price
locally and that did not include local taxes.
I am very pleased with the cover as it is 100% water tight. I too had
considered the BAKflip but have seen too many with rippling rubber edges
after a year.....

I'm glad to hear it worked out well for you. Was this price for the Undercover or the Undercover SE? Did you get the free swing out tool box with the order?

That price seems fair. I paid 700 for my original locally, and I paid full price for a swing case. I love both of them. I bought the driverside swing case, but I plan on adding a second case for the passenger side soon.

If you don't already know, you can use the same key for your cover and swing case. You just need to order an extra lock. It was worth it for me, I hate carrying extra keys, especially ones that look the same. One key to unlock the back end makes everything easier.

I've had the original for a few years so I don't recall the exact price but that seems reasonable to me. Personally, I wouldn't want anything else that I've see out there and have never regretted my decision for a second. Think you'll be very happy with it.

The $681 was for the Undercover not the SE, but again, it included a bed mat with a retail value of $90-$100 by itself. I like the simple lines of the standard Undercover over the SE anyway... To each his own....

I have discovered that the Undercover allows you to use the "full depth" of the truck bed because it sits above the side rails. The BAKflip and other that sit level with the side rails, protrude below the side rails and robs a good 2-3 inches of height of the bed depth. Something to consider..... I know my shop-vac can sit upright under my Undercover but it would not below the BAKFlip.

I had the Undercover SE installed on my 2010 FX4 yesterday. I posted some pictures in the 2009-2010 F150 forum. I'm impressed with the look and feel of the Undercover SE and am glad I went with it. I can't wait to get the BedRug installed in the spring. I think it'll be a perfect match.

The undercover is a great cover. I've had mine almost 3 years and couldn't be happier. I'm sure you won't regret it!
