Which brand of soft roll up tonneau covers?
Which brand of soft roll up tonneau covers is the best? I'm looking for a low profile cover. The covers I am looking at now are the Access lorado, Extang revolution, Truxedo lo pro QT, Truxedo deuce. Does anyone have any of these or can you tell me which brand/cover is the best quality?
Thank you.
Thank you.
I have a TruXedo Lo Pro QT and love it. I got it about 3 weeks ago for 409.00+tax and free installation at my local Line-X dealer. I love it and I am glad I didn't go with anything else. If you live in a cold climate with plenty of snow and ice (like me) I think it will do well since it uses velcro instead of snaps. It also has tensioner springs on the front to help keep it tight when it is closed.
If you absolutely have to remove it form the truck there are 2 simple spring clamps that attach the cover to the velcro rails on either side of the bed. Once that is off you can remove the velcro rails by just removing the 6 bolts.
As for the Extang, I am not to fond of that company simply because of the bad customer service they had when I had a problem with the trifold cover I had on my Dakota. Once of the straps securing it failed at 70mph and could have easly ripped the cover off the bed of the truck and caused an accident.

I went with an access cover...the original one and had my Linex guy install it.After looking at different brands I found this product to be tried and true. The quality is really good and they stand behind their product. They also angle the rails at 45 degrees so you can really get a tight fit when you tie it down.I think I paid 425 installed.
I have the Truxedo Lo Pro. Had it all though last winter when I lived in VT. It's a great cover. Their customer service is also great. My cover started getting a few wrinkles (probably from over tightening) and they replaced the cover free of charge.
It's also easy to put on. You don't need anyone to install it.

Remember, none of these soft covers are truly waterproof. While rain doesn't usually enter, you will notice a little water on the inside after using a high pressure washer. Sealing the tailgate also helps a lot.

The same way you'd put it back on when it's warm. Not sure I understand your question fully.
The cover rolls up to the cab when not in use and rolls back down the same way. It doesn't matter if it's hot or old it still functions the same. Maybe I missed exactly what you were asking?
