hard cover but needs to do some different things.
I have a 06 F150 4x4 with a 6.5 foot box. Im looking for a tonnue cover that kinda fits a few needs.
It needs to open/fold so my quad can fit in the box, my sled in the winter and locks with my tailgate when my fly fishing tubes are under it.
I seen a 3 fold one the other day in town but when up and the quad in the back I noticed that it was resting on the pillar and 3rd brake light. Don't want this happening.
The other thing is at times it can snow a lot over night or during my 12 hour shifts at work. Can a roll up take a lot of snow? Or would a hard top/flip be better suited?
First time ever looking for one so I'm kinda lost.

Roll-a-long makes a pretty good roll up, might google.
I've got a hard cover tilt up and like it alot, but you have to take it off to carry anything taller than the side of the bed. Good part is it comes off pretty easy. Might look into a shell (that's what we call them on the west coast!), think they call them caps where you are. Trouble with the tilt up is when it snows it will pile as high as the cab or higher and then it's almost imposible to open, and the rubber seals stick ti the bed rail.

I have an 06 4x4 with a 6.5 bed as well. I have an Access roll up cover and love it. I can open/close the cover in 10 seconds. I'm not sure what atv you have, but I haul my Polaris Sportsman 700 X2 all the time and the cover does not get in the way. I do have to leave my tail gate down because the atv is just under 8 feet long.
There's the bakroll too, kinda like a garage door, looks pretty secure.
and the foldable one, the bakflip can be aluminum and lock too. it comes with bumpers or something that cushions it up against the cab when it folded all the way back

yeah, that's the point of the hard folding covers like the Bakflip so it folds up out of the way so you get nearly 100% open access to the bed. It has rubber cushions and mine rests against the black trim that goes around the window, it doesn't touch the glass or any painted surface. Other hard folding covers like FoldaCover fold up but just stack on top of the bed rails near the window giving you only ~75% open access to the bed and you probably can't fit a quad with that one.
or the Rollbak rolls up into a canister. Both covers are rated for like 300 to 400 pounds of weight so snow load should not be an issue.

Does anyone have pics with quads in a box with a backflip or any cover?
