You will be happy with your purchase! The versatility of the cover was the main reason I went with it instead of a hard cover. I looked at a few other folders but liked the locking mechanism, ability to open the front section, and overall looks of this one the best.

I agree with Greencrew that opening the panel at speed would be a bad idea, and likely damage the cover. I'm sure you'll take that into account when considering your beverage "reach" - and I doubt the manufacturer would think it's a good idea.

The latch is about 16" from the driver's side edge of the rear slider on my truck and should be a relatively easy reach. The only thing that may be tough is to close it again as you would have to reach the edge of the panel, which is now at least a foot further towards the back of the truck. So, if you consider doing this you may have to get creative to do it easily and safely.

All in all, I think you'll really like this cover as it sounds like it will meet your needs pretty well. Good luck!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the order has finally been made. I am getting the Fold A Cover G4 Elite. I used my Birthday wish (coming up next week) so I am excited and can't wait to get it. The "Wifey" gave me the okay so I just finished ordering it.
