Arrow plastic or spray

is the spray as good as plastic drop in, also is it easier to dent the bed with just a spray liner, does it scratch off easy?

Spray is better, no as slippery, wont crack and allow for water to rust the bed surface. Can dent minorly if hit with enough weight, but a plastic would crack. My Line-X doesn't scratch minorly, even with rocks in the bed.

Line-X is the way to go. People have had the plastic drop-ins rub holes in their bed.

Spray in all the way, I wish I could afford it right now! I'm really worried about the stock Ford plastic drop-in.

cool, i am gonna have to change over then, i was always afraid that when i haul gravel or rocks that the spray would scratch off, or allow denting. if you guys suggest it then that works for me. there is a linex shop nearby, is that the brand to go with?

Some of it depends on the shop doing the installation, of course, but it is generally agreed that the Line-X product is superior. We have a member, Truckgasm, that is the local Line-X dealer, and he will gladly answer any specific questions you might have. If the shop there is as good as his shop, you will be pleased.

Line-X all the way, wouldn't go any other route. Very durable and they look great too. I got the X-tra top coating as well, which maintains the glossy appearance forever.

Drop-in's are much superior as far as dent protection, but thats where it stops. A spray in will only protect against minor dents, for your application you'll be fine as far as denting now if you were to haul like a 800 lb solid object you might see some denting. Find a good applicator that has a good product and the spray-in will outlast the truck.

Just had my '04 sprayed two days ago. Went with Line-X. Looks great. The bed on mine really looked bad from the plastic liner and then previous owner removed, so lots of surface damage and one small dent in the wheel well. Looks tons better now. Price both Rhino and Line-X near Myrtle Beach, same price for either, but research led me to choose Line-X. My installer even dressed the bed bolts and painted them with black Rustoleum paint as part of his install. Prices here run around $395.

Spray

Spray, Spray, Spray all the way. I used Rhino-lining. Love it. No experience with Line-X.

Pic of my Line-X liner and matching toolbox. Didn't want chrome box, but couldn't afford a new one, so had the old one sprayed by my Line-X guy. Didn't turn out half bad and looks good on the truck.

Not only that but you don't have to ever worry about scratching it, I love Line-X, stuff is nearly indestructible.
