I have the Fold a Cover G4 Elite. I can honestly say that I love the cover. It has served its purpose very well. It looks great, locks easily and folds with ease. Just be careful with the aluminum as it is easy to put a ding into it as I found out the hard way. The only minor drawback is that the rear opening is not that large if you only have a 5.5 foot box like me. You need to have the cover fully retracted to get large items in and out of the box. Other than that it was money well spent.:o

Fold a cover or Bakflip

I briefly had a Bakflip on my old truck. It fit nice but leaked horribly and after a few calls Bakflip told me that as good as it gets.. I was looking for a cover that locked and also didn't leak, I couldn't understand why I would have to put stuff under the cover and inside of something else to keep it dry.. Bakflip wouldn't do anything for me, wouldn't even take it back. Since I charged it on my Discover card, Discover gave me the money back and I never heard anything more about it.. I ended up sending back to them tho... No way I'd ever buy one of those covers again...

Stupid move of the year for me. I usually pull one or two of these off a year. I was picking my son up from school when he had his full length cast on so he wouldn't have to ride the bus. I also have to pick my twin girls up 1/2 hour later. My wife gets off later. than me so I'm the taxi. Anyway after picking my son up I park in the middle of the garage instead of parking on my side. I got something out of the backseat (screw) and go inside. So it comes time to pick up the girls. I go to leave, backing out of the garage when all the sudden WHAM! WTF the garage door just fell onto the bed on my truck. I thought I hit the button to close it by accident or something but no way should it have come down with such force. Turns out when I got into the backseat earlier I shut the end of the rope that disconnects the arm on the garage door in my truck door. When I started to back up out of the garage it released the door and slammed down onto the Fold A Cover.

Sorry for the long story but umm yeah they're pretty strong.
Sounds like something that would happen to me

I've had the Bak Flip G2 installed for almost a year now with no problems. In the icy weather the seal on the back panel would freeze to the tailgate when I went to open it but no big deal. Not one leak (the 1st generation Bak Flips leaked pretty bad). The fit and finish is great. If your one of those people who slam doors and stuff like that then I could see potential problems but when used with care I can't see any problems you would have.

I looked for a long time before I made my decision. The most important thing for me was to have 100% use of my bed and the BFG2 offered that. Plus they look great. As far as security goes, yeah you could get in but your gonna need a pry bar or something to get in.
