Line-X negatives. Any?

I'm about to have Line-X Xtra sprayed in my truck's bed. I am pretty much sold on it and know most, if not all, the positives.

Are there any negatives? Drainage?

Negatives? NOT A ONE IMO!!!!

Drainage? NOPE nothing to worry about there!

I have this on my trucks bed and even in the wheel wells... I like it so much!

very good liner. my company has two trucks with them. one of the trucks is going on two years now and it is holding up very well. i load it up with heavyduty truck parts and no problems. the bed and finderwells are bent and the liner still looks pretty good. my personal truck i have a bedrug, like that one for the family better, but for work you can't beat the line-x

All sounds good. I was mostly concerned with the fit and finish...i.e., weep holes...screwholes, etc...but concerned no more.

I have gotten by with a thick rubber bed rug but my new truck is mahogany and shows every scratch, scrape.

Thanks boys...

I'm not sure. It's an aluminum USW box and I have chrome steps. I think they balance out. If I get the box to match the Line-x, I'm not sure what it will look like. Too top heavy perhaps?

If I did do it, I'd have to drag out my sandblaster and prep it for the Line-X guys...but they would be glad to. He saved my paint combo.

The dealer did a good job and it does look good though...makes me want to Line-X anything I get ahold of!

If you use your truck for everyday personal use, I don't see any downside.

For me, they're worthless... I have a snowmobile with carbide runners on the skis... not so good on the liner.

Also, my brother's 3/4 ton was Line-Xed 2 years ago, and he hauls a lot of equipment parts (springs, dozer wheels, etc). His Line-ex is almost entirely scraped off the floor. Also, his bed is pretty dented up from all the dropping heavy stuff. He's going back to drop-in.

How much more expensive was the color matching over the black?

It was 685 out the door. The basic spray on black would have been 385. The "Xtra" finish with kevlar and color added 300.

If I understood correctly, it would have been +300 for the xtra/kevlar even if I had chosen black.
