how to clean line-x

whats the proper way to clean line-x? ive got spots all over mine where mud has dried down in the texture from my muddy dog being in the back...doesnt seem to come out with regular washing. Liner is only six months old or so. I just want to know how to bring that clean, black shine back to it again...

2 things that have worked for me,
Take a push broom and some soap and really scrub the Line X as you were scrubbing the floor.
Go to a spray off car wash, use the high power rinse. That really helped me out after carrying a load of dirt home from the garden center.
One final thing I have found to make the Line X look not so faded is a can of tire foam, cheap stuff will do, spray it on and walk away.

X2 on the cheapo tire foam. Makes it look great.

Pressure washing and scrubbing with a push broom or hand brush!

welfare wagon doesn't the tire shine make the bed slippery? Sorry just wondering bc I would like to do this if it does not make the line-x slippery or oily.

After you get it clean, apply some Just Once (justonce.com) or 303 Aerospace. That will give it some protection and will make it easier to clean next time.

If you have LINE-X Xtra, just wash it off with water or water and automotive soap. No need for anything else.

I guess it could, after doing mine I didn't haul anything in the bed until after the next time it rained, not because of the tire foam it's just that I had nothing to haul.
One thing I have noticed is after a rain or wash it still keeps the darker look for a few weeks until the sun dries it all out.

Line-X Xtra here and all I've ever done is hose it down with the wand they have at the car wash. That's all it takes, high-pressure wash I guess.. nothing sticks to the Xtra too much.

I would be careful when you go to a carwash... the ones around here have notices and videocameras in the wash bays. A friend of mine got a notice from the local carwash that he had to pay $500 for damages done to the filtration equipment, along with a police report along with snapshots of him washing the bed of his truck with the license plates.

That's kinda odd.. what the heck was he supposedly washing out in to their drains?

Mud shouldn't be a problem, after all, that's what those places are there for... to remove mud and road grime.

Unless he was washing out paint or solvents or somehow dumping hazmat crap down their drains I don't see how they could complain. Ok, they can complain, they're cheap ***** that want to make a buck where they shouldn't, but still..

If he was only washing mud off the truck then what they're doing is robbery / extortion.

I think he should call the place and tell them that his next step is to go to the police to file an extortion complaint. I bet they tell him "Thank you, come again!"

Even Pacman Jones thinks that's pretty weak...

LOL

My Dad owes a few of these coin washes, and that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

What was their reason???

Tire shine will make any bed into a skating rink! Maybe use it before you haul dirt to make cleaning easier...
