Ford drop in questions.

I have just purchased and installed a Ford drop in bedliner in my 08 F-150 with 8' bed.
Q1 My tailgate cover does not cover my tailgate top to bottom, it seems short? Can someone confirm that this how the part fits the truck or did i get the wrong tailgate cover.
Q2 In the instructions in the last step it states that some part of the liner/tailgate cover has to be trimed with a jigsaw. Anyone have any experience with this part?

Q1 Sounds like T/gate cover is for 97-03 style...see it lots from dealerships in Canada (westcoast). If the cover is 2" or so from the bottom of the gate I'd say they gave you the wrong cover when you bought the liner.
Q2 I've been installing liners, etc... for almost 20 years and have NEVER had to trim anywhere in or on the cover. Instructions can be so misleading...

Thanks for the reply, I will have to call the dealership and get the correct part. I didn't have to trim anything as far as fit either?
